Mohammed Shami’s Wife Approaches Supreme Court Seeking Shami’s Arrest Over Physical Assault, Affair
Ace Indian fast-bowler Mohammed Shami’s wife recently moved Supreme Court, seeking arrest of her husband over allegations pertaining to physical assault and extramarital affairs. The world of cricket has been rocked by explosive allegations made by the estranged wife of Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, who has accused the fast bowler of domestic abuse, adultery, and soliciting prostitutes while on tour with the senior national team.
Hasin Jahan first made these shocking claims in 2018 when she filed a police complaint against Shami, but now she has taken her case to the Supreme Court in a Special Leave Petition, alleging that the criminal case against her husband has been “erroneously stayed for the past 4 years, without any just circumstances.”
According to Jahan’s plea, Shami has been carrying on multiple extra-marital affairs with prostitutes even while on tour with the Indian team, and he has been using a second mobile phone to manage all his affairs. She has also claimed that Shami used to demand dowry from her, and that he has been continuing to do so even after their separation.
Hasin also alleged Shami of being involved in match-fixing. The 32-year-old has denied all the allegations, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Anti-Corruption Unit has given him a clean chit.

Jahan, who worked as a model and cheerleader in the Indian Premier League (IPL), filed a police complaint against Shami in Jadavpur. She alleged that Shami used to ask for a dowry and was involved in extra-marital affairs with prostitutes even while he was on tours with the senior national cricket team.
Shami Given Clean-Chit for Match-Fixing Allegations
The Kolkata Police’s women’s grievance cell questioned Shami and his elder brother, Hasib Ahmed, in connection with the allegations. The Alipore Court even issued an arrest warrant against Shami, but it was later stayed. The Indian cricket board (BCCI) Anti-Corruption Unit gave Shami a clean chit after Jahan even alleged that he was involved in match-fixing.
Shami Managed Affairs on Second Number
Jahan’s latest plea in the Supreme Court has once again brought the spotlight back on Shami. She has alleged that Shami has been continuing to have extra-marital affairs even while on tours with the senior national cricket team.
She has claimed that Shami used his second mobile phone to manage all his affairs in relation to prostitutes.

Rollercoaster of a Case for Both Shami and Wife
Jahan’s latest plea in the Supreme Court alleges that the Sessions Court in Kolkata stayed action against Shami, even though the cricketer “did not even pay for the stay of criminal trial and his sole grievance was only against the issuance of arrest warrants”.
The case has been a rollercoaster ride for both parties, with an arrest warrant being issued against Shami in 2019, only to be later stayed. Jahan tried to get the High Court of Calcutta on her side, but to no avail. Now, she’s taking her fight to the apex court.
