Hero to Zero – Gujarat JEE Student Goes from Receiving Full Marks to Zero in Matter of Hours

In a shocking incident, a Gujarat-based JEE applicant went from ‘hero to zero’, as he received full marks in his JEE exams and received the rude shock of getting a zero, all in the matter of a few hours!, The Vadodara-based student’s dreams of soaring high were dashed when a technical glitch wiped out his Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains response sheet. The Gujarat high court has taken note of this incident and has asked for an urgent reply from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Centre.

The incident in question involves Keyush Patel’s son Kush, who was initially overjoyed to find that he had scored a perfect 300 out of 300 marks in the JEE-Mains response sheet online. However, his joy was short-lived as five hours later, the response sheet showed that he had not attempted a single question. Talk about going from hero to zero in record time!

Kush’s father, Keyush Patel, filed a petition in the Gujarat High Court, highlighting his son’s plight. The petitioner revealed that Kush is an exceptional student, having scored 90% in Class 10 and qualifying for Phase-2 of TOSC ’22. To add to that, he had also received an invitation letter from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. However, his JEE-Mains debacle has put his dreams in jeopardy.

There’s a juicy legal battle brewing as a father fights tooth and nail to restore his son’s honor and reputation. But this isn’t your average family squabble – we’re talking about a high-stakes academic showdown. It’s a classic classic case of “now you see it, now you don’t” that’s left the student in question in a state of shock.

Bright Student’s Marks Vanishes in the Air

In a classic case of “now you see it, now you don’t,” a bright student’s stellar JEE-Mains performance vanished into thin air, leaving his father fuming and the Gujarat High Court seeking answers from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Centre.

From Hero to Zero

The saga began when Keyush Patel, the father of the student Kush, filed a petition alleging that his son’s response sheet showed him scoring a perfect 300 out of 300 in the JEE-Mains exam, only to disappear without a trace just five hours later. In its place, Kush was shown to have not attempted a single question, landing him at the bottom of the barrel in the 7th percentile.

JEE Student and his Laurels So Far

The petitioner claimed that Kush was a top-performing student, boasting an impressive 90% score in Class 10 and being among the Top-100 participants of Phase-1 of TOSC ’22, with an invitation letter from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, to

boot. But despite his son’s evident talent, the NTA’s technical glitch had robbed him of his moment in the sun.

Student Now In 7th Percentile!

Kush, to his credit, didn’t take this lying down. He approached the NTA head to rectify the mistake, but despite receiving assurances that the issue would be sorted, he was left disappointed when the results were finally declared. He found himself languishing in the 7th percentile, a far cry from his earlier perfect score, TOI reported.

Father of Student Takes to Court

The petitioner is now seeking an inquiry into the glitch, requesting the authorities to re-verify the electronic data, review the exam centre’s video recording and the exam server’s backup to shed light on the issue. He is also urging the court to modify his son’s results and permit him to appear for the upcoming JEE Advanced test.
