Dutch Man Banned by Court from Sperm Donation After he Fathers Over 550 Children!
In a fertility scam that can make Genghis Khan blush, the Netherlands court recently banned a man from donating any more sperm, after he was found to have fathered as many as 550 children. The Dutch man known only as Jonathan M has been ordered by judges to cease his sperm donations after allegedly fathering between 550 and 600 children since 2007.
The court ruled in favor of a foundation dedicated to the rights of donor children, as well as the mother of one of the children reportedly fathered by Jonathan M. Despite Dutch guidelines stipulating that a donor should father no more than 25 children in 12 families, Jonathan M went above and beyond, apparently considering him pinnacle of human evolution!
The court has forbidden Jonathan M from donating his sperm to new prospective parents or contacting any prospective parents to advertise his services. The ruling also prohibits him from joining any organization that establishes contact between prospective parents.
The penalty for disobeying the court’s ruling would be a hefty €100,000 fine per violation, which should give Jonathan M plenty of time to reconsider his actions while he contemplates his dwindling bank account.
The district court in The Hague found that Jonathan M had deliberately misled prospective parents about the number of children he had already fathered in the past.
The Facts of the Matter
The Netherlands is reeling from a fertility scandal that’s left people shocked and outraged. Jonathan M, a prolific sperm donor, has allegedly fathered over 550 children, far beyond the limit recommended by Dutch clinical guidelines. It’s a number that could knock anyone’s socks off.

Generous Sperm-Donor Lied to Parents, Clinics
The court case brought by a foundation that advocates for donor children’s rights and the mother of one of the children allegedly fathered by Jonathan M, revealed more than just the shocking number of children.
He had misled prospective parents about the number of children he had already fathered, meaning that countless families are now grappling with the fact that their children are part of a vast network of half-siblings they never knew existed. It’s a drama that’s unfolding with each passing day.

Far Reaching Impact of Man’s Donation Spree
The case has far-reaching effects beyond Dutch families, as Jonathan M also donated his sperm to a Danish clinic named Cryos, which dispatched his semen to various private addresses in different countries. The result is a tangled web of relationships that has left many reeling.
Thankfully, the judges in the case were not amused by Jonathan M’s cavalier attitude towards sperm donation.
Court Bans Man from Donating Sperm
The court ruled that he must immediately stop donating his sperm and must not contact any prospective parents. If he flouts this order, he could be fined a whopping €100,000 for each violation, not to mention additional fines.
This case has set an important precedent for the Netherlands and sends a clear message to other serial sperm donors who might be tempted to disregard the rules. So let’s hope that this marks the end of Jonathan M’s baby-making spree and puts a stop to any other would-be sperm donors who think they can play fast and loose with the rules.
