Aligarh University Student Brutally Murders Parents with Scissors, Knife, Iron; Continued Assault Even After They Died

An AMU student was recently arrested for brutally murdering his parents with scissors. The accused showed such hair-raising viciousness that reports confirm him contusing the assault even after his parents died on the spot. The incident was reported from Aligarh’s Zakir Nagar and occurred earlier on Wednesday night. The accused in the incident was identified as Ghulamuddin.

The incident was recorded on a 38-second video that went viral on social media. The killer had an argument with his father, Mohd Ishaq, who was an Imam in a mosque, and his mother over a petty issue which escalated into a violent and bloody tragedy.

In a fit of rage, the youth locked the door of the room from inside and stabbed his parents repeatedly with a pair of scissors, a kitchen knife, a hammer, and an iron, as per a TOI report.

Neighbours gathered outside the window and tried to stop him by shouting but were unsuccessful in their attempts. The police arrived at the scene after receiving information about the murders and arrested Gulamuddin.

The house owner, Mohd Saleem, said that the family had migrated to Aligarh from Rampur for better education opportunities for their children. The accused was identified as the second son of the deceased couple and was pursuing BCom in Aligarh Muslim University.

A horrific incident took place in the Jakir Nagar area of Aligarh on Wednesday night, raising concerns over the increasing cases of violence and mental health issues among the youth. The youth was a Aligarh Muslim University student. The news comes nearly a year after AMU was in the news for its professor making a contentious remark on Lord Brahma while making reference to rape.

Tragedy Strikes Aligarh

A tragedy unfolded in the quiet streets of Jakir Nagar on a fateful Wednesday night, sending shockwaves throughout the community. A 20-year-old man, identified as Mohd Gulamuddin, a BCom student of Aligarh Muslim University, committed a heinous act that would leave the neighborhood in horror for days to come.

Argument Escalated To Point of No Return

It all started with a petty argument between Gulamuddin and his parents, Mohd Ishaq and his wife, aged 60 and 57 respectively. The situation quickly spiraled out of control, with Gulamuddin locking the door of the room from the inside and going on a rampage, using scissors, a kitchen knife, a hammer, and an iron to brutally murder his own parents.

Incident Caught on Video

As the commotion grew louder, neighbors gathered outside the window and pleaded with Gulamuddin to stop, but their efforts were in vain. Someone even recorded the crime and uploaded it on social media, causing the video to go viral the following day.

Neighbours, Homeowners Give Account

The family had migrated to Jakir Nagar from Rampur, seeking better education for their children. According to Mohd Saleem, the house owner, Ishaq and his wife were well-respected members of the community and doting parents to their children.

Gulamuddin, however, was said to be suffering from some sort of mental problem, which could have been a contributing factor to the gruesome act. According to a neighbor, Mohd Shafeeq, Gulamuddin used various household items, such as a hammer, knife, iron press, and scissors, to carry out the murders.

Accused Arrested

The police were alerted and arrived at the scene, arresting Gulamuddin and sending the bodies for postmortem. The deceased couple’s daughter, Mehzabi, filed a police complaint, leading to a case under section 302 of IPC being registered against the accused.
