Delhi Shocker: Man Caught on Camera Raping Stray Dog in Hari Nagar, Police Responds
In an incident that can be dubbed as Delhi shocker, a man was caught on camera raping a stray dog in the city’s Hari Nagar area. Following outrage on social media, police took cognizance of the matter, and assured that it will take action against the culprit.
The disturbing video of a man sexually assaulting a stray dog has caused outrage among animal activists and pet lovers. The video was widely circulated on social media, with many condemning the heinous act of animal cruelty. Further, animal activist that brought the incident to the fore also alleged police inaction, claiming that the police chose not to file a complaint regarding the matter.
A person who feeds stray animals witnessed the incident and recorded it on camera. They also reported the crime to the police. However, a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation suggests that the police officials initially refused to take action, urging the witness to wait for the perpetrator to return in a few days before filing a complaint. The witness was reportedly persuaded not to file a complaint by the police station head officer.
Manjunath Kamath, whose social media display picture features the Animal Crime Control department logo, expressed his outrage over the refusal of Harinagar police station to register an FIR despite being presented with video evidence of a dog being raped in their jurisdiction.

In one more such incident, reported from the national capital, a man was caught raping a stray dog in Delhi’s Hari Nagar area. According to reports, the man was caught on camera committing the heinous act by a stray animal feeder who captured the incident on cam.

AICC Member Calls Out Police
Amid much outrage on social media, Pankhuri Pathak, a member of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), has expressed her concern over the authorities’ failure to file a case regarding the sexual assault of a stray dog. In a tweet directed at the Delhi police and other officials, she called out their inaction and accused them of protecting the perpetrator.
Pathak demanded to know why the Station House Officer (SHO) of Harinagar has not taken any action against the accused and emphasized that failure to do so is tantamount to enabling a rapist.
Let us be clear.
