“Aukat se hota hai..” Ashneer Grover Breaks Silence Over his Absence in Shark Tank Season 2
Entrepreneur and former BharatPe MD, Ashneer Grover recently broke silence over his absence in Shark Tank season 2. Grover became a household name because of his appearance as a judge in the first season of reality show. Many of his fans were expecting to see him making an appearance as a shark again in the second season. However, in the recent teaser and trailers, it is evident that Grover will not be returning in the second season of the show.
In a recent interview to RedFM, Grover spoke about his upcoming book Doglapan: The Hard Truth about Life and Start-Ups, and also gave his two cents about his absence in the show. When asked whether the show couldn’t afford him, Grover laughed and said, “Afford sirf paise se nahi hota, aukaad se hota hai (can’t solely afford me by money, there needs to be status as well)”.
Later Grover was also asked whether he was approached by popular reality show Bigg Boss. As always, Grover did not mince words and went as far as saying Bigg Boss contestants as “failed individuals”. “You will never see me on that show. Failed individuals go on that show, not successful people… There was a time when I used to watch the show, but I feel it’s become stale now. They approached me, I said sorry, not happening.”

When the second season of popular reality show Shark Tank India released, many fans were left outraged due do the absence of their favourite judge Ashneer Grover. During the show’s first season,
Ashneer Grover became an instant hit thanks to his unapologetic and honest feedback to a lot of business owners. From asking them to shut their business and get a job, to calling out their ‘doglapan’ (hypocrisy), Grover has done it all.

Ashneer Grover Breaks Silence
Recently, Grover was giving an interview to an Indian radio channel, where he spoke about his absence in the second season of the show, how Bigg Boss participants are ‘failed individuals’, and similar perspectives.
When asked whether the showrunners couldn’t bring him back as the judge of the second season of Shark Tank India, Grover laughed and took a subtle dig at the showrunners. “Afford sirf paise se nahi hota, aukaat se hota hai (You can’t solely afford me by money, there needs to be status as well)”.

“Failed Individuals..”: Grover on Bigg Boss
At the interview, Grover was laughingly asked whether he was approached to appear on Bigg Boss. Not only did Grover say a yes to it, but also mentioned that those who appear in the show are “failed individuals”, and he will never be appearing in the show.
“You will never see me on that show. Failed individuals go on that show, not successful people. There was a time when I used to watch the show, but I feel it’s become stale now. They approached me, I said sorry, not happening,” he said.
While Ashneer reiterated that he won’t be appearing on Bigg Boss at any price, he jokingly added that he may rethink if he’s offered more money than Salman Khan, the host of the show.

Who will Appear in Shark Tank S2 In Place of Ashneer Grover?
For the second season of Shark Tank India, the showrunners have roped in Amit Jain, the CEO and Co-founder – CarDekho Group, InsuranceDekho.com, in the place of Ashneer Grover. Whether Amit Jain can boost the ratings the same way as Grover did, remains to be seen.
Another change in the show is the addition of comedian Rahul Dua as a host instead of Ranvijay Singha.
