Delhi Teen Stabbed by Two Minors for Protesting Sister’s Eve-Teasing, Apathy Takes Over Bystanders Video

In a shocking video of a recent stabbing from national capital, apathy took over several bystanders who saw a teen being stabbed by two minors after the teen protested to her sister being eve-teased. While a bunch of youths being involved in such a heinous news in itself is shocking, what makes the entire ordeal heartbreaking, is how bystanders simply saw the teen being stabbed and chose not to act or intervene.

The video of the incident shows at least 10-12 people catching the entire ordeal, but being struck by apathy. The CCTV footage of the incident shows the boy trying to help with a knife stuck in his body. The boy can be seen lying on the relatively bustling street, and yet nobody comes to his help.

Shockingly enough, the boy somehow manages to rush towards a shop with the knife still jammed in the body. The boy appears to be asking for help, and eventually falls down as no one tries to help him. Another woman can be seen opening the door of her house, seeing the boy, and then going back in.

The victim was later rushed to the Sardar Patel Hospital, where he was declared dead. Meanwhile, both the accused were juveniles, and were arrested. Their weapon was also recovered.

The Facts of the Matter

Due to increasing number of crimes across the nation, a concerning trend of witnessing crimes has been normalized. Daily news reports showing shocking CCTV footages of assault, murders and similar crimes, have arguably numbed the collective consciousness of locals. When such a trend is seen, what follows is people’s apathy towards similar crimes in real time.

In one such incident, a teen was stabbed in Delhi by two minors for allegedly protesting his sister’s eve-teasing. The entire incident was caught on CCTV, visuals of which are going viral.

What Does the Video Show? (Discretion Advised)

In the hair-raising incident, a teen can be seen being ambushed by a few other youths of same age and stabbed repeatedly. The teen can then be seen walking and limping all around the narrow lane, filled with at least a dozen of people. As the teen writhes in pain and agony, one would assume that bystanders would rush to help. However, in a shocking display of absoltue apathy, not a single person comes forward to help him. At one point in the CCTV footage, the boy falls down in front of a house and multiple women walk away from him and get inside their home.

Accused & Victim Juveniles

According to reports, the victim, identified as 17-year-old Manoj Negi, was rushed to the Sardar Patel Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. DCP Shweta Chauhan said that the two accused are both juveniles, and were arrested after the cops were alerted about the matter. Further, the cops were also able to seize the weapon used by the accused.

As per an NDTV report, the victim was stabbed for protesting his sister’s eve-teasing and harassment.
