Ludhiana Gas Leak, 11 Dead, Rescue Operation Under Way
On Sunday in the Giaspura area of Punjab, eleven people were reported dead due to a gas leak incident. A fifty-member team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been dispatched to the scene, which has been cordoned-off and sealed. The fire brigade received the call at 7.15am regarding the leak and the subsequent deaths, finding individuals already unconscious upon arrival. Moreover, some people have been taken to hospital for treatment.

Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, expressed his deep sorrow over the incident and assured that all necessary assistance is being given.
