Horrific Kerala Couple Dies In Car Fire, Were on their Way to Hospital as Women Complained About Labor Pain

A horrific and disturbing incident from Kerala has resurfaced on the internet. The incident is about a couple who died as their car caught fire. They were on the way to the hospital along with their family members as the wife had complained about going under labor pain.

The Disturbing Incident

A couple in Kerala, who was literally burnt to death after their car caught fire on Thursday, were on their way to hospital as the wife had complained of going under labour pain. The car caught fire near the district government hospital in Kannur.

The couple, Prijith (35) and his wife Reesha (26),who were residents of Kuttiattoor in the district, were going to the hospital with four other family members after she complained of going under labour pain.

The four people including a child who were sitting in the rear seat escaped safely when the vehicle caught fire. Kannur city police Commissioner Ajit Kumar  said that, “They are not injured. They are in the hospital and they are getting checked.”

Why the Couple couldn’t be saved!

The locals tried to open the front door of the car to rescue the pregnant woman and her husband who got stuck inside it but failed. And even in the video the locals can be seen rushing and trying to rescue the couple who were stuck, but the flames kept on rising high and unfortunately the couple succumbed to death.

An eyewitness said that they could not do much to save the couple as they feared that the oil tank of the car can explode at any time. Stating the incident the eyewitness said that, “We were totally helpless at that time as the front side of the car was immediately engulfed in fire.”

The senior police officer said that the couple owned a 2020 model of Maruti S-Presso and they were stuck inside as they could not open its front door. The reasons for the fire  has yet not been confirmed and could be established only after verification and research by technical experts.
