US Zoo Lets People Have Revenge on Ex by Naming a Cockroach After Ex & Feeding it to Animals
A San Antonion zoo is giving people a unique chance to have sweet revenge on their ex by having a cockroach named after their ex and feeding the same to one of the animal residents in the zoo. To make the offer sweeter, they shall be doing so on Valentine’s Day this year, a day known by most for the celebration of love and affection. So, if you’re ‘bugged’ by the memories of your ex, this is just for you.
“The GLOBAL phenomenon is back! San Antonio Zoo hosts its Cry Me a Cockroach Fundraiser, where funds raised support the zoo’s vision of securing a future for wildlife in Texas and around the world! This Valentine’s, join in the fun by donating to symbolically name a cockroach, rodent, or veggie after your not-so-special someone!” the San Antonio Zoo website reads.
So, if you’re up for it, for a donation that ranges from $5 to $25, go ahead and name a cockroach for that petty and pesty ex of yours and receive a digital Valentine’s Day card. To sweeten the deal, the zoo will also make sure your ex receives a similar card telling them that a cockroach has been named after them.
And for $150, a personalized video will be sent to the ex, showing them the roach being fed to an animal.
The Facts of the Matter
Since time immemorial, jilted lovers have gone out of their way to find unique approaches in destroying their ex’s memory, or to bring closure of their sour relationship’s bitter end. Now, a San Antonion zoo is giving people a unique chance to have some sweet sweet revenge on their ex’s. The ex is seeking donation to keep wildlife up and thriving, and for the donation, will name a cockroach after one’s ex, and even feed it to the animals.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day by Naming Cockroach After Ex
What makes the deal rather enticing, is that the feeding the roach to animal residents in zoo will take place on a day that’s remembered and celebrated for love – Valentine’s Day.
“San Antonio Zoo hosts its Cry Me a Cockroach Fundraiser, where funds raised support the zoo’s vision of securing a future for wildlife in Texas and around the world! This Valentine’s, join in the fun by donating to symbolically name a cockroach, rodent, or veggie after your not-so-special someone,” the zoo website reads.

Ex Will Also Receive a Card
Valentine’s Day can be especially heart-wrenching for some people harboring resentment and grudges against their long-lost exes. To get over the same, the zoo offers them a chance to donate $5 to $25 and get a digital Valentine’s Day Card showing their support. Hilariously enough, as part of the deal, the person’s ex would also receive a card, telling them that a cockroach, rodent or veggie has been named after them.

Feed Cockroach Named After Ex to Animals
Care to make things more interesting? For those whose ex-partner, boss or even friend made their 2022 a living hell, they can upgrade their donation to up to $150. For the upgradation, the zoo will create personalised video messages of the cockroach, rodent or a vegetable being fed to one of the zoo’s animal residents.
It should be noted that the San Antoino Zoo is not the first and only zoo giving Valentine’s Day resistors an outlet to share their feelings about their ex. Earlier, Bronxx Zoo also announced a ‘name a roach’ program, wherein a person can send one’ ex a tote bag or a mug with an image of cockroach, telling them that a cockroach has been named after them.
Similarly, Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy also announced a similar plan for the upcoming Valentine’s Day.
Roses are red; violets are blue… Is there someone in your life that’s bugging you? Give them goosebumps by naming a cockroach in their honour this Valentine's Day ❤️
