Namita Thapar Claims ‘Educated House Help’ Stole Her Phone & Posted Toxic Comments from It

In a shocking development, Shark Tank India judge Namita Thapar claimed that her ‘educated house help’ stole her phone, and allegedly shared toxic comments from it. Meanwhile, netizens on Twitter have been speculating that it was actually her son who posted her picture on social media, and added that she is not the same person as shown on TV.

“This is what hate does to this world, makes people toxic. An educated house help who was removed stole my phone & put a hateful post on me on social media. Price of being a public figure ! Apologies !”, Thapar’s tweet read.

Namita’s claims came after some netizens spotted her Instagram bio read – “Shitty mother, shittier wife”. Further, on Saturday, a post was shared on Namita’s Instagram story which showed her in a blue nightwear and a caption that read – “This is Namita’s son. I just want the world to know that the person you see on TV is not you think she is. Unfollow her as soon as possible. Will explain why in due course of time.”

The screenshot of the Instagram bio and story was widely shared. On Reddit, many users questioned as to how the ‘house help’ was able to unlock Namita’s phone. Netizens also speculated that it was actually Namita’s son who posted the stories.

Due to the veil of anonymity, often hackers and miscreants take control of user accounts, and share some deplorable and defamatory statements. This becomes a problem, especially in the case of influential social media users who are followed by hundreds of thousands of people.

Thapar recently took to Twitter and tweeted saying, “This is what hate does to this world, makes people toxic. An educated house help who was removed stole my phone & put a hateful post on me on social media. Price of being a public figure !Apologies !”.

It all started with some netizens spotting Thapar’s Instagram bio being changed to ‘Shitty mother, shitter wife’.

Further, a post on her Instagram was shared as a story, which showed Namita in her night wear, walking casually with a beauty pack applied on her face. The story’s caption read – “This is Namita’s son. I just want the world to know that the person you see on TV is not you think she is. Unfollow her as soon as possible. Will explain why in due course of time.”

Reddit Users Speculate

On Reddit’s Shark Tank India subreddit, many netizens took to the comment section and speculated as to whether or not Namita’s househelp was behind the mischief. One netizen commented, “It is definitely her son. House help kisi ka phone thodi le sakti hain yaar (house help can’t take a person’s phone)”.

“See the letters in the story have been capitalised to show Anger!! I don’t think a house maid would be knowing and would deliberately type in CAPS…..”, another Reddit user commented.
