Blackswan was initially a five-member group under DR Music until Hyeme quit in November 2020. Soon following, DR Music declared that they would be holding global auditions to fill the space, and Shreya Lenka, an 18-year-old K-Pop admirer and promising artist from Odisha, was picked.
She has also practiced contemporary modern dance disciplines. Many Indian enthusiasts have been cheering for Shreya since she was officially picked as a trainee in 2021.
She chose to give it a chance in 2020 after noticing K-pop record firms initiate online auditions in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. She learned Korean online and watched a couple of Korean dramas to gain a deeper understanding of South Korean culture.

Shreya Lenka’s Journey
Lenka’s grandma referred her to a classical music trainer after her family discovered that she was auditioning for K-pop. Her brief study of Odissi aided her in gaining a better understanding of the language’s subtleties.
She took a vacation from her academics at the time of auditions to concentrate on her vocals, auditions, and understanding of Korean. She also started sharing videos of herself dancing on her YouTube channel at that time. The channel quickly grew in popularity, and it now boasts over 25,000 subscribers.
According to D R Music Entertainment Korea director Philip Y J Yoon, Shreya Lenka and Dalcin worked well together during the screening phase.
