California Couple Locks Themselves in Dog Crates on Wife’s Encouragement | Watch
The video of a California-based couple locking themselves up in their newly bought dog crates while testing them has been going viral on social media. Netizens have since been making some sarcastic comments at the expense of the couple, and calling out their ‘genius’ move of getting inside the dog crate and somehow managing to lock themselves up. The video, which was first shared on TikTok, has been viewed over 12 million times.
Jerry and her husband Stephanie Ferrari had recently bought four dog crates for their puppies Cane, Corso, and Mal. As one would expect, the couple first checked whether or not the crates would be fit for their puppies. However, the way they checked this has been a subject of laughing matter.
Instead of simply calculating the interior of the crate for the puppies, the couple chose a novel way to test the crates – getting inside the crates. While two pups managed to get inside the crates, Stephanie asked her husband to get inside one of the crates.
As her husband hesitantly got in, Stephanie too got inside and snuggled into crate, and eventually, trapping both of them inside. What followed was a few moments of hilarity, followed by panic-induced laughing.
The couple were eventually able to free themselves, and didn’t need to reach out to emergency responders.

Locking oneself up can be a rather embarrassing moment for someone. However, locking oneself up, inside a dog crate, can simply be listed in one of the most embarrassing moments in a person’s life. Recently, a California-based couple, Stephanie and husband Jerry, suffered the similar ordeal when they found themselves locked in a dog crate. The cause of their getting locked up is even funnier as they were trying to ‘test’ the dog crates.
Shockingly, the security cam kept in the couple’s residence recorded the entire incident, and visuals of the same have been going viral on social media and viewed over 12 million times.

What Does the Video Show
In the video, the couple are seen testing the dog crates for their puppies Cane, Corso and Mal. While the two pups easily got inside the dog crates, Stephanie encouraged her husband Jerry to go inside the crate and test its real size. The husband hesitantly enters the crate and before he knows, his wife also gets inside another crate and snuggles inside it.
The dog slams behind the couple and soon, they realised that they were trapped inside the dog crate. What started off with the couple laughing together at the ordeal, soon turned into panic-induce giggles as their dogs started barking at their ‘genius’.
Somehow, the husband is able to maneuver the dog crates to face each other, and managed to first unlatch the wife’s door.
Freed from their horror, Stephanie, can be heard saying. “Why did we think of that?”.

“Would’ve used Alexa”
While the incident may be funny, it could’ve caused some dramatic moments had the couple not been able to free themselves. Although they didn’t need to call the emergency responders, they said that they would have used virtual assistant Amazon Alexa to reach out to neighbours and ask them to free them.
