Ghaziabad: 28-Year-Old Man with 4 Children Digitally Rapes 5-Year-Old Girl When Mother was Away
In a blood-curdling incident reported from Ghaziabad, a 28-year-old man, who is also a father of 4 children, digitally raped a 5-year-old girl child when her mother was away. The incident was reported from Kanwani village in Indirapuram and occurred earlier on Saturday. The accused is currently untraceable and a case has been registered against him.
According to reports, the victim’s mother is an employee at a private hospital in Ghaziabad. Earlier on Saturday, after she returned home from hospital, her daughter told her about the horrors she endured by the hands of the alleged accused. The girl’s mother took to the local police station and filed a complaint against the accused.
Reportedly, the accused is the neighbour of the victim and her family. He lives with his wife and four children. As per the victim’s account, she was playing with the accused’s children when he called her in his room and digitally raped her.
When the victim raised an alert and tried to communicate the same to the accused’s wife, he claimed that the girl had fallen on the floor while playing and hence received injuries. He is booked under multiple sections of IPC and POCSO Act.
Earlier in May, an 81-year-old man in Noida was arrested for digitally raping a minor girl for seven years.
The Facts of the Matter
A quick look at National Crime Records Bureau’s report from 2021 would show how crimes against minors in India are at a concerning upswing. In its 2021 report, NCRB confirmed as many as 1,49,404 cases of crimes against children, which roughly accounts to as many as 17 crimes against children committed every 24 hours, adding up to a heartbreaking 409 such crimes every day.
On Monday, another harrowing crime was reported from Ghaziabad, where a 28-year-old man digitally raped a 5-year-old girl in the neighbourhood when her mother was away at work.
According to reports, the most recent shocking crime of sexual perversion was reported from Ghaziabad’s Kanwani village in Indirapuram. The alleged accused has since been on the run and untraceable.

Victim’s Mother was At Work
As per reports, the victim’s mother is an employee in private hospital in Ghaziabad. Earlier on Saturday last week, she came back from work when her daughter told her about the horrors she was subjected to.
As per Devpal Singh, SHO, Indirapuram police station, the victim told her mother that she as playing with her neighbour’s kids when the 28-year-old accused called her to the room and raped her. When the victim tried to raise an alarm and communicated with the accused’s wife, he tried to push the matter under the rug by claiming that the victim was crying because she had fallen while playing.

Accused Man Father of 4 Children
The police confirmed that the accused lives in the same area as victim, and lives with his wife and their four children. After the victim told her mother about the incident, she took to the local police station and filed a complaint.
Complaint Filed, Accused On Run
Based on the complaint, the accused has been booked under multiple sections of IPC, including section 376 (rape), section 506 (intimidation), and sections of the POCSO Act. As per local authorities, two teams have been formed to nab the accused, and his phone has been appearing switched off since Saturday.

What is Digital Rape?
Contrary to its connotation, digital rape has nothing to do with cyber crimes or sexually assaulting a person through digital means. The phrase digital rape comes from the word ‘digit’, meaning toes, finger, and thumb. The term ‘digital rape’ means penetration by any of the above body organs against a person’s consent.
