Mysuru: 2 Girls Die After Getting Locked in Ice-Cream Freezer while Playing Hide-and-Seek

2 Girls Locked in Ice-Cream Freezer Died

In a tragic incident reported from Mysuru, two girls reportedly died after getting locked in an ice-cream freezer while playing hide-and-seek. The incident was reported from Myusuru’s Masage village and occurred earlier on Wednesday. The deceased girls were identified as 12-year-old Bhagya and 7-year-old Kavya.

According to police, the deceased girls stepped into an abandoned freezer that was kept outside the 12-year-old girl’s house to hide from friends. The freezer was left abandoned after an ice-cream store was shut down.

Unfortunately, the small mistake proved fatal due to the inherent way ice-cream freezers are designed. As the girls closed the lid of the freezer over their heads, the freezer got locked from the outside and they were not able to break out of it.

After the two girls’ friends couldn’t find the girls, they returned to their homes without any inkling of the fact that the two girls were suffocating inside the freezer. According to reports, the two girls were later cremated by their parents without any information to the police.

The police are now verifying the statements given to them and considering filing a case against the families of the girls for cremating the girls without informing the police.
