Avengers Actor Jeremy Renner in Critical Condition After Snow Plow Accident, Anil Kapoor Reacts
Marvel’s Avengers actor Jeremy Renner is reportedly in critical condition after a snow plow accident. Following the incident, Anil Kapoor, who co-starred with Renner in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, reacted by taking to Twitter and sharing his pictures with Renner and captioning them with “Praying for your speedy recovery Jeremy”. The news of the accident comes just weeks after Andrew Flintoff, ex-England cricket team skipper, was also left critically injured while shooting for an episode of Top Gear.
Jeremy is currently in critical but stable condition after the weather-related incident injured him and put him in hospital.
Jeremy Renner’s representative spoke with The Hollywood Reporter and was quoted saying, “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today. His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care.”
The incident occurred earlier on Sunday, January 1, 2023 and came to the fore after the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office near Reno, Nevad, received an alert and was called to Renner’s residence.
Jeremy was rushed to a hospital via a care flight thanks to the efforts of Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health.
A two-time Oscar nominee, Renner is set to return on Paramount+ show The Mayor of Kingstown and Hawkeye series.
The Facts of the Matter
It doesn’t seem like the beginning of a very happy new year for 51-year-old Marvel’s Avengers actor Jeremy Renner, who has been left critically injured in a weather related accident. The actor was reportedly at one of his residences near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, some 25 miles from Reno, Nevada. He was reportedly airlifted after an alert was raised.

“Critical but stable..”
Earlier today, a spokesperson from Jeremy Renner’s family spoke to the media, and was quoted saying, “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today. His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care.”
According to reports, he was the only one involved in the accident. As per reports, earlier at the time of accident, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office received an alert regarding Jenner needing immediate assistance.
Authorities Called to Renner’s Residence
Deputies were rushed to his residence, and later, deputies and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District arranged for Jenner to be airlifted to a local area hospital. An investigation has been kicked on in the accident, and authorities are investigating the circumstances which led to the accident.

Anil Kapoor Reacts
Following the reports of Renner’s accident, Anil Kapoor took to Twitter and prayed for his quick recovery. Sharing pictures of himself hugging Renner, Kapoor wrote, “Praying for your speedy recovery Jeremy”. For the unversed, Anil Kapoor co-starred with Jeremy Renner, Anil Kapoor, Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Paula Patton in the 2011 action film Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.

Marvel Actor Gaspard Ulliel Died in January 2022
It should be noted that Renner’s accident comes just a year after another Marvel studio actor passed away in 2022. In January 2022, Marvel actor Gaspard Ulliel died at an early age of 37 in an alleged skiing accident. Gaspard featured in Marvel Studio’s ‘Moon Knight’ which also featured Tom Hawke and Oscar Isaac.
