‘Zombie Virus’ Buried in Russia Revived by Scientists, Baba Vanga’s Prediction Turns True
Over 48,000 years old ‘zombie virus’ which was buried deep in Russia was recently revived by scientists, making Baba Vanga’s prediction somewhat come true one more time. For the unversed, Baba Vanga was a famous mystic, who had predicted that it would be Siberia which would present a new virus to the world in 2022. The prophecy also stated that the virus was buried frozen, and will be unleashed to the world due to global warming.
Eerily enough, this is exactly what transpired recently. Due to effects of climate change and global warming, tranches of frost melted and released some microbes that were trapped in the ice for thousands of years. To analyze them, scientists revived these ‘zombie viruses’ from the Siberian frost, including one which is now being reported to be around 50,000 years old.
The matter came to the fore after a recent study was published by one of the many scientists who worked on the project mentioned above. “Due to climate warming, irreversibly thawing permafrost is releasing organic matter frozen for up to a million years, most of which decomposes into carbon dioxide and methane, further enhancing the greenhouse effect,” the study read.
The authors of the study have also warned that these “zombie viruses” could be dangerous to humans.
The Facts of the Matter
As the world comes to term with living with COVID-19 and its drastic and tragic consequences, a new potentially lethal virus was recently discovered by scientists in Russia. The virus, called ‘Zombie virus’, was revived by the Russian scientists after they found buried deep in permafrost (layer of soil that remains below freezing point).
Shockingly enough, a “frozen virus” being discovered in Russia was something Baba Vanga, popular mystic, predicted years ago.

What Did Baba Vanga Predict?
Baba Vanga predicted that a team of researchers would be discovering a virus in Siberia that had been frozen and buried deep. Due to the effects of global warming and climate change, the virus would resurface.
It should be noted that Baba Vanga also predicted the same virus to “quickly spin out of control” and cause another pandemic like situation.

Russian Scientists Revive Zombie Virus
Baba Vanga’s prophecy turned true as some Russian scientists were able to revive over two dozen ‘zombie viruses’ which had been trapped in the ice for years. As per a yet-to-be-reviewed study, the samples were collected from permafrost in Siberia. These viruses are as many as 48,500 years old, and as per the scientists, could be infections despite being buried and dormant.
The oldest virus, called Pandoravirusyedoma, was 48,500 years old, a old age record for frozen virus revived which can infect others. Earlier, the record was held by a 30,000-year-old virus, which was also discovered by the same scientists in 2013.

Scientists Caution Against Thawing Permafrost
It should be noted that scientists have been warning for the longest time not to thaw the permafrost due to atmospheric warming as it will worsen the climate change by releasing the trapped greenhouse gases.
“It is thus likely that ancient permafrost will release these unknown viruses upon thawing,” the scientists have written in a recently published study.
What else Did Baba Vanga Predict for 2022
If Baba Yanga’s predictions are to be taken seriously, things are not looking good for 2022, and the years that are to follow.
In one of her predictions, the mystic said that major cities across the world will be hit by drinking water shortage in 2022. Further, due to increase in population and pollution, many would find it difficult to remain hydrated.
