Hyderabad Teen Returning from Party Gang-Raped in Mercedes, Five Suspects, Including MLA’s Son Minors
In a horrific Development, a Hyderabad teen returning from a party was gang-raped in a Mercedes. Reportedly, the five suspects in the matter are minors, including an MLA’s son. According to reports, the 17-year-old victim had gone to a pub with a friend for a party with a friend who had left early.
At the pub, a minor boy befriended her and the victim, her new friend, and other minors left the club. The suspects had allegedly lured the victim to go along with them on the pretext of dropping her home.
Reportedly, all accused are Class 11 and 12 students belonging to “politically influential families”, police have stated. The incident occurred earlier on May 28, Saturday. The matter came to the fore after the victim’s father took to the police and filed a complaint on May 31.
Based on the complaint, the police initially booked a case under Section 354 of the IPC, pertaining to assault or criminal force on a woman. After recording the victim’s statement and receiving medical examination reports, the police changed the case to a Section 376 D (gang-rape), and added other provisions of the POCSO Act.
After facing public pressure for delayed action in the matter, four teams have been formed to arrest the accused.
The Facts of the Matter
In yet-another horrific case of gang-rape, a 17-year-old girl was gang-raped by five minors in a Mercedes in Hyderabad. The incident occurred earlier on May 28 and occurred in Jubilee Hills area. One of the most horrific aspects of this already hair-raising incident is the fact that the minor accused belong to “politically influential” families, with one accused reported to be the son of an MLA.

How the Victim was Lured
According to reports, on May 28, the victim and her friend had gone to a pub for a birthday party. The friend of the victim left the pub early while the victim befriended a boy. Later in the evening, the victim left the pub and stepped into a red Mercedes, where other accused in the matter gang-raped her. The accused reportedly lured her and on the pretext of dropping her home, convinced her to step into the car.
CCTV Footage Shows Glaring Visuals
As per the CCTV footage, the victim left the pub with five other suspects. A total of 8 youngsters were in the car and there was another car tailing them. The alleged accused drove for a bakery and from there, entered a bigger vehicle. They told the victim that they have to enter the larger vehicle because the diesel had run dry.
Five Minors Took Turn to Gang-Rape Victim
From there, the five minor accused took turns and gang-raped her at a secluded place and the victim was dropped back to the pub in the morning. The girl, who reportedly suffered multiple bruises on her hands, told her parents that she had fallen down and hence got injured.
POCSO Case Registered
It was only after her injuries on the neck were noticed that she allegedly revealed that she was raped. Initially, the case was registered under Section 354 of the IPC, pertaining to outraging modesty. However, after the victim gave her statements about the matter, a case of POCSO was registered.

Police Delayed FIR Registration
Following the incident, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights chief Priyank Kanoongo was quoted saying, “We have issued a notice to Police Commissioner and District Magistrate and sought detailed action taken report in seven days. Police delayed registration of FIR in this case. We have sought reply on that too.”
